Frequently asked questions

Are these really free?

Yes. No account, no paid tier, no usage limit and no watermark on anything they produce. They exist because the common alternatives do at least one of those things.

Do my files get uploaded?

No. Each tool works inside your browser and hands the result straight to your downloads. Nothing is transmitted at any point, which is the whole reason they have no limits.

Do they work offline?

The image tools do, from the very first visit — they need no library at all. The PDF tools fetch their engine the first time you use one, and work with no connection after that.

Is there a catch?

No advertising, no tracking of what you open, and nothing to buy. They were built for the author's students and are free for anyone.
