Sign a PDF free — in your browser, with nothing uploaded

Draw your signature with a mouse, stylus or finger, type it, or upload a photo of the one you already have on paper. Then drag it onto the page and see exactly where it will land. The document never leaves your computer — which matters rather a lot for the kind of file you are asked to sign.

Your files never leave your browser

Other PDF sites upload your document to a server, then cap how many files you can process or ask you to pay. This one does the work on your own device in plain JavaScript — nothing is transmitted, nothing is stored, and there is no daily limit. Use a tool once and it keeps working with no connection at all afterwards.

What you can do

Frequently asked questions

Is my contract uploaded anywhere?

No. The signature is drawn onto the page by your own browser and the file is saved straight to your downloads folder. Nothing is transmitted, which is the whole point — a contract is exactly the kind of document you should not be handing to a random website.

Is this a legally binding signature?

It produces the same kind of image-based signature as the common free tools: widely accepted for everyday agreements in many countries, but it is not a cryptographic digital signature and it does not certify who signed. For anything requiring a qualified or certified signature, use a provider that issues signing certificates.

Can I use the signature I already have on paper?

Yes, and it usually looks best. Sign a white sheet, photograph it with your phone, and upload the picture. Leave “Make the paper transparent” ticked and the white background is removed so only the ink lands on the page.

Can someone remove my signature afterwards?

It becomes part of the page content, so it will not lift out as an object. It is not tamper-proof though — an image-based signature never is. If you need tamper-evidence, you need a certificate-based digital signature.

Can I sign more than one page?

Yes. Choose this page, the last page, every page, or type a list like 1, 4-6. The signature keeps the same position on each page you pick.

Why does my drawn signature look smoother than what I drew?

The pad smooths each stroke as you draw it, which compensates for a mouse or trackpad. Draw on a phone or tablet with your finger or a stylus and you get much closer to your real hand.

Is it free?

Yes, completely — no account, no limits, and nothing added to your document.
