Does this tool add its own watermark?

No. Many free watermark tools stamp their brand onto your document. The only text added here is the text you type.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The watermark is drawn onto the pages in your browser. That matters for exactly the kind of file you would watermark — contracts, drafts and confidential reports.

Can I remove the watermark later?

Not from the saved file — it becomes part of the page content. Keep your original if you may need a clean copy.

What does the tiled option do?

It repeats the text in a grid across the whole page, which is harder to crop out than a single centred stamp.

Can I use an image or logo as the watermark?

Yes. Switch the watermark type to “Image or logo” and choose a PNG or JPG — a transparent PNG works best. You can size it, rotate it, tile it and drag it just like text.
